Our Lives Newspaper Vol. 1 No. 4

Our Lives is the first newspaper in Canada by and about Black women. Its first edition and inception in 1986 was the building block for many activist movements in Canada. The authors were the Black Women's Collective (BWC), which was instrumental in creating the Women's Coalition against Racism and Police Violence and advocated decentre whiteness from the feminist movement in Canada.
