ZAMI Zine: For Gay Blacks and West Indian

Zami was the first black queer support group in Toronto, established in 1984 by Debbie Douglas, Makeda Silvera, and Douglas Stewart. The Zine was an LGBTQ+ newsletter that focused on various topics like homophobia within the Black community, Black LGTBQ+ leaders, celebrating African and Caribbean queer culture, and coming out to the family.
